I worked with the super talented Steven Satterfield, chef at the restaurant Miller Union, to create stunning visuals for his cookbook Root to Leaf. The publisher instructed me to “run off to Atlanta and make a wonderful book,” and that is exactly what we did. we photographed the book through the seasons, to celebrate the bounty and beauty of vegetables. it was nominated in 2016 for a James Beard Award for photography by John Kernick.
