Boulud’s kitchen is run like a finely-tuned orchestra making it a pleasure to chronicle the scene with Magnum photographer Gueorgui Pinkhassov. When we finished our shoot at 2:00 am, Boulud cracked a bottle of wine and told us all about his passion for auto racing. When he isn’t running his two-star Michelin Guide restaurant and wants to unwind, he loves to drive laps around the track in a McLaren or Ferrari. It’s no wonder the dining experience at his restaurant is first class.
