The enormously talented chef David Chang is willing to try anything. To prove the point Chang trusted my decision in selecting a relatively unknown photographer for his first book Momofuku. Gabriele Stabile from Italy was a new talent, but I felt he had what it takes to capture David’s innovative spirit. Stabile showed up for the shoot on day one with two cameras slung around his neck and lots of enthusiasm. It proved to be the perfect match of two freewheeling spirits.
