One of the highlights I had as art director for Gourmet magazine was getting to know chef and restaurateur Bill Granger of Sydney, Australia. Granger is not only super-talented, he’s relaxed and fun to work with. I couldn’t be happier when he asked asked me to be creative director for Bill’s Basics. My idea for the clean photography and minimal design enhanced Granger’s modern, unfussy cooking. He liked the results so much that I flew far and wide to art direct five more of his cookbooks.
