Art directing isn’t necessarily glamorous. In fact it’s a lot of hard work. I flew to Chapel Hill before dawn with photographer John Kernick to shoot a magazine story about Andrea Reusing at her Asian-inflected restaurant, Lantern. The long hours are always well worth the effort when the results are positive. Reusing’s email confirmed we got it right.
